My child's eating habits are awful, but he's just a kid. Can't I just wait until he outgrows it?

No! Kids do not outgrow bad eating habits, they learn good ones. Teach your children well and they will become healthy (or at least healthier) eaters. It is so important because the choices kids make today will have an impact on their future health, and lessons learned today will last a lifetime. Ben Franklin said it best: “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
