While almost all kids can benefit from improved diet and increased physical activity, some parents and kids are not ideal for the program and include:
- Children with a BMI > 95%: These children would benefit by a physician monitored program with in-office visits. If this is not available in your area, this program should only be undertaken with the approval, advice and strict monitoring of your child’s own physician.
- Children with diabetes, asthma, heart disease, respiratory illness, or any other chronic medical conditions should not undertake any dietary advice or exercise regimen without the advice and strict monitoring of your child’s own physician.
- Any family that cannot fully participate with the child. This is a family centered program, but a “family unit” can be two: you and your child!
